The Daily Peek
What’s this strip?
It’s someone’s Daily Peek result. The first line says which day it was; the next says how it went against the day’s par (and their streak, once there is one). Then there’s a row for each cat they found, a square for each call (a long row wraps onto the next line):
- ⬛ A miss. An empty box.
- 🟨 A hit. Mrrp? Something’s in there.
- 👀 Found! The call that found a whole cat. It ends the row.
- 🔍 The peek. They took the day’s peek.
It never gives a cat’s hiding place away, so it’s safe to share before your friends have played.
The last line is a link: tap it in a shared result to see that day’s page, with its date and par.
One board a day
Every day there’s one board, the same for everyone. It changes at midnight where you are. Find all four cats (Longcat, Loaf, Box Cat and Kitten) in as few calls as you can.
A par to beat
Each day has a par. Your result reads “5 under par”, “On par”, or, if it took a few more, just the day’s par, like “par 28”.
Stuck? Take a peek
Once a day you can peek at any 3×3 patch of the board. It shows the squares you haven’t called, and any cat in there counts towards finding it. A peek adds 7 to your score, and your strip shows a 🔍.
Your streak, kept kindly
Your streak, your best score and how often you beat par are kept on your phone. Your streak shows up from your second day in a row.
On your Home Screen
A widget shows how today’s going at a glance, and there’s a gentle reminder if you’d like one (it’s off until you turn it on).
